Principal's Welcome

Dear Transition Program Students, Parents, and Care Providers, 

Welcome to the 2025-26 Transition Program school year! I hope this letter finds you rested and ready to get back into the swing of things. I am excited to join you as your new Principal starting this school year, which is also my 10th year in the district. I started as a Special Education teacher in 2016 then became an Assistant Principal in 2023 before accepting this role.

The Transition Program's first day of instruction is Tuesday, August 19th, 2025, and we are excited to build on last year's successes. Please note that the first day of school is a minimum day. 

We start the school year with a couple of new staff members joining our Transition team! Please welcome them when you get a chance. We look forward to working with them as we advance toward our program goals. 

In a few weeks, we will host our Transition Program Back to School Night. The district will be changing the date on the current district calendar. We will let families know as soon as we know the new date. Back to School Night starts at 5:00 p.m. on that night and ends at 6:00 p.m. We will meet on the Vista Hills Campus at 5:00 p.m. to provide an overview of our program, to introduce you to our staff, and to get your input for shaping our future. At 5:30 p.m., you will then be directed to a classroom where further discussion can take place with your student's teacher.
