Transition Program
Dear Community Partners,
We are excited to invite community organizations and individuals to partner with our Transition Program by sharing your knowledge, skills, and experiences with our students (ages 18–22).
The WCCUSD Transition Program offers the continuation of age-appropriate services for special education students (ages 18–22) as mandated by law. It is designed to facilitate a successful transition to the adult world through a functional life skills curriculum, vocational training, and other independent living skills.
As part of this mission, we are offering two ways for our community to get involved:
Option 1: Host an On-Campus Workshop
Lead a session at our school to share your expertise, business focus, or lived experience. Topics may include:
- Career pathways and industry insights
- Small business ownership and entrepreneurship
- Workplace readiness and professional skills
- Personal stories of perseverance and growth
- Independent living and community engagement
Option 2: Invite Students to Your Business
Welcome our students into your workplace to gain exposure to different fields and real-world environments. This provides a valuable opportunity for students to observe, learn, and connect classroom lessons with hands-on experience.
If you or your organization are interested in either option, please fill this form out or contact me to schedule a session.
Thank you for supporting our students and helping them build brighter futures!
